Tanya - twenty80
"To see clients achieve things they once thought were impossible is the most rewarding experience".
Tanya runs twenty80 with a small team and provides support to people living with mental illness, cognitive disability, and intellectual disability. "I absolutely love what I do. I am continually inspired by my team and clients".
A fairly new resident to Gawler, she was born in Sydney and grew up in a small country town called Oberon - Blue Mountains Nsw before moving to South Australia in 2000. She moved from where it snowed every winter to the South Australian heat, and loved it! She settled in Wallaroo for a couple of years then moved to Adelaide. After working in Gawler for a few years, she decided to move here because she loved it so much.
"Being a country girl at heart, I love the big country town feel".
She is a single mum and a small business owner and a few years ago was given the opportunity to follow her passions so she took a deep breath and did just that. When not working she likes to walk the trails around Gawler. Dead Man’s Pass is one of her favourite spots. "There’s lots of different people and their dogs walking through, and when the creek is running it makes for a really peaceful spot that soothes the soul".
