Description: Memories of Mr Roy Urlwin ''As told by Lionel Folland, eldest son of French, who worked for Mr Urlwin in the early 1940βs, as a Carpenter and Joiner. I would often walk from Gawler Primary School to Mr Urlwins workshop to get a ride home in our Rugby car. While waiting for dad to knock off work I would play in the Lane between Mr Urlwins workshop and Whinnens Grocers shop. Mr Whinnen used to stack his empty drink bottles in the Lane, and I remember breaking the necks of the bottles to get the marbles. Mr Urlwins Residence was on the corner of Holmes Street and Redbanks Road. He had a large lemon orchard in Holmes Street. Dad would often have to pick cases of lemons for Adelaide markets. He would often bring home odd shaped lemons for us kids to play with.''
