Gawler's Industrial Buildings 1839-1939 (published in 1980) was the joint research project undertaken by Susan Phillips and Michael Pilkington for their Honours Degrees in the Department of Architecture at the University of Adelaide.[1] It summarises the history of many of Gawler's early industrial business and describes their buildings.

It is reproduced here with the kind permission of the authors and the University of Adelaide.

Michael Pilkington of Phillips/Pilkington Architects also presented "Murray Street Changes from 1886" to the Gawler History Team in July 2015.
