Please <click here> to view 73 selected photos of (mostly) pre-1920s ornamental verandas in Gawler (including ornamental woodwork and lacework.)

These have been selected from the Town of Gawler's State, Local and Contributory Heritage lists, and can be shown to visitors who love Gawler's heritage; exemplified by the use of stone rather than timber in the construction of homes in Gawler.

[We acknowledge the great amount of time and effort by Paul Barnet taking almost 900 photographs of the homes and buildings contained in the Town of Gawler Heritage lists. Paul made sure that his photograph was taken at the time of day where the sunlight provided the best end result photograph. When he was challenged in 2011 to perform this task, we did not know that it was a task that would take Paul about 2 years to complete. Thank you Paul for your wonderful contributions to capture Gawler's great heritage for many to enjoy.]
