James Owen Berriman was born at Moonta Mines in 1875, eldest son of James Berriman and Jane nee Phillips. He served as Councillor for South Ward between 1901 and 1902.
He died at his parent's residence in Gawler in 1904, aged 29.[1]
His younger brothers Clement Clifford ‘Cliff’ Berriman and Claude Leslie Berriman were both killed in action whilst serving in WWI.
At some time, his parents James and Jane Berriman resided at Dundas Street, Gawler.
