I was a Gawler resident until for ten years until age eighteen, when, in 1965, I moved to Adelaide to attend teachers’ college. Currently retired, I’ve had a varied career, including a stint with BHP at Whyalla as a trainee metallurgist, a clerk with the Commonwealth Immigration Department, and a social worker with various State Government agencies. I also put in five years as a volunteer with Volunteering SA&NT. I have degrees from Adelaide and Flinders Universities and a Graduate Diploma in Archaeology from Adelaide U. I have a son and daughter and two grandchildren. I’ve backpacked in Greece, Italy, Turkey, Israel, France, Spain and the UK. I’ve also travelled independently with my current partner in China, New Zealand, Canada and the US. We enjoy cycling and hiking, having recently completed the Skyline Trail in the Canadian Rockies. We enjoy excellent health.
