Fast Facts
Place type: Locality
Town or Locality: Gawler South

Gawler Terrace rises out of Dead Man's Pass Ford and is split by the Seventh Street/One Tree Hill Road embracing Riggs' Hill. The Riggs' Hill area was not populated until c1960.

Being adjacent to South Para River it was an excellent location for children to play. The periodic flooding of the river was a obviously a concern to residents but in recent history no major flooding damage has been experienced.

Pedestrians had no concern during floods as they were able to use the swing bridge (since removed)
