The image for a plaque provided by Gawler Environment and Heritage Association (GEHA) for Gawler’s Gum Tree Plaza. The plaque and two accompanying seats were unveiled on 19th October 2019. The plaque includes a poem about the Gum Tree by the late GEHA member, Geoff New, as well as a photograph of the Gum Tree in 2019 taken by Neil Jacobs. The unveiling event celebrated the saving of the Gum Tree in 1998 by GEHA (and many others), as well as celebrating Gawler’s heritage and natural environment and the contributions made by Geoff. The Gum Tree is a registered Local Heritage Place.
