Town or Locality: Gawler

The Union Mill was built in Gawler in 1855 by the Harrison Brothers, becoming the town's second flour mill, but it was later purchased by Walter Duffield in 1863 and then the Adelaide Milling Company in the early 1880s, which operated it until it was significantly damaged by fire in 1914. Rebuilt in 1915, it continued until 1970 under Jeffs Bros. Ltd. from 1933, before ceasing operations.
