Details provided by Margaret

I, as Margaret Beatrice Cheffirs, nee Slatter, was born at Burra Hospital in the year of the Centenary of South Australia, 1936.

I lived at Willalo, near Hallett, and attended the Willalo Primary School: a one teacher school with 28 pupils.

After marriage, I lived on a farm at Spalding and moved to Gawler in 1977; being involved in many things and have been very happy to call Gawler “home”.

Additional Notes

At some time, Margaret's Gawler home was 43 Finniss Street, a heritage-style cottage built in the late 1980s, under strict building guidelines "to ensure that it harmonised with the ambience of the area".[1]
