I was born in 1975 and lived in Evanston at the time. My parents would take me to Dead Mans pass as a child and we would often continue on further upstream to what I am guessing was “Black Bobs Cave”. Even further up stream I remember the foundations/ruins of an old small house. I was curious as to why the cave was called black bobs cave and the story behind it? I would often explore the cave which as a child seemed to go for 5-10 meters maybe........its hard to say as everything looks bigger as a child. We frequently visited this location in the early 80's. This area of the river is very overgrown now/privately owned I think. If anyone has info about the cave I would be fascinated to hear about it for nostalgic/curiosity purposes
