Edward John (Jack) Wall – 23/10/1910 – 30/12/1992 was born in Maitland on the Yorke Peninsula.

Jack died in Salisbury, South Australia in 1992.

Jack was married to Dora (Dot) Rowett Tiller in 1935.

Dora Rowett Tiller was the daughter of William Tiller and Sophia Jane Tiller (nee Rowett). Dora was born on 20/8/1913 at Mallala. Dora (Dot) Tiller died: 4/9/1986

Their children are Kenneth, Vernon, Joy and Valerie.

Jack and Dot owned and operated the 'Top Shop' in Murray Street Gawler. Jack purchased the shop from Mr J.F. Spackman, reopening the business on April 3rd 1950. Jack & Dora owned the Cafe on the corner of Lyndoch Rd and Main St in the 1950s, they moved from Mallala where Jack did his bakers apprentice with Algars , Jack ( according to many) made the best Pies,Cornish Pasty’s and finger buns in the State, when they retired they lived at Gawler south ( near the Hall)
