Description: Pastor at the Zion Lutheran Churches Gawler 1966 -1970 While serving the Renmark Lutheran Church, Pastor Ian Zweck accepted the call to the Zion Lutheran Church in Gawler and was installed in February 1966. With the amalgamation of the two former Lutheran Synods of the Lutheran Church in Australia in 1966, the Zion Lutheran Church and the Immanuel Church in Gawler came together and formed the Gawler Lutheran Parish. The Gawler Parish then called Pastor Ian Zweck to serve both congregations. Three vicars worked with Pastor Zweck; Brian Schwarz, Alwin Schirmer and Michael Hassold. Pastor Zweck left the Gawler Parish in 1970 to take up the position of Chaplain at the Immanuel College in Adelaide.
