Miss Noack lived in the large house on the northern side of Adelaide Road next to the Mill Inn Bridge. She gave Brian Thom piano lessons from 1958 to 1960 but she gave up trying to teach him music theory. Accordingly tunes like Campanella and Furelise were memorized sufficiently to enable a reasonable performance to be given at the end of year concert.
