Type of person Individual
Principal occupation Milk delivery

As told by Mr. Fred Brooks -

Mr. Veale started a milk round in Willaston in the early 1920s. He didn't have a milk float but a light spring cart with two steps at the front which he used to deliver in.

In later years, his daughter Lorna, and his son, Ron used to deliver milk on their way to school carried in a billy can. On their way home they picked up the empty billy cans.

Mr. Veale carried on the milk round until the late 1930s, when he sold the round to Mr. Mellors.
