William Francis Whinnen was elected Gawler Councillor for Evanston Ward 1939 to 1945.


Bill Whinnen was the son of F.B. Whinnen, founder of iconic Gawler Store, 'F.B. Whinnen's' on Cowan Street. (She's Apples stands in its place today).
