Sponsored by the Town of Gawler and chiefly organised by the Gawler Apex Club with tremendous support from Rotary Club of Gawler Light, Gawler Lions Club, Gawler Kiwanis, the Gawler Town Band and with local business assisting with the food, around 2000 people start attending at 6am with their chairs and tables to line up for their cooked breakfast and celebration.

2013 Rachel Segar sang the National Anthem. There was a presentation of citizenship by Mayor Brian Sambell and the winners of the Town of Gawler awards were presented. The weather was perfect.
