"I have always had a passion for photos, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I left school but always knew I wanted to have my own business and always been very creative"

Karina hails from the Clare Valley and moved down this way with her family when she was very young and ended up going to Trinity College South Australia which is now where her children go to learn. Working at Rudall & Rudall Lawyers she is currently in the position of marketing manager and is also project managing the renovations on the heritage building. And what a building to be involved with!

"I love to support local wherever possible, being a small business owner I know how much blood, sweat and tears it takes to do it so I really try to support local where I can."

She LOVES a coffee and Cibo is certainly where she found that love. You might also catch her at Aesthetic Bliss or Urban Luxe Hair & Beauty, or catching a sneaky Subway on the main street during lunchtime 🙂

She once opened a Gym with her mum when she was 23 and they operated that for 10 years but knew that it wasn't what she wanted to do long term. She studied Photography at the same time and found a growing love for it. She started her own business 6 years ago and the rest is history!

"It Is my passion, I absolutely love being able to capture and share such special moments in peoples lives. It truly is an honour to have someone entrust you on their wedding day or the birth of their children...."

Her first photo was taken during a photography course and it was of her nanna and pop's roses (its amazing how we remember these things!) and her favourite photo is far to hard to choose. She explains that every photo has a meaning, she wants people to feel her photo's and not just see them, capturing emotion is super important to her.

"I have a photo of my grandparents which I didn’t even take but it will always be one of the most special photos for me."

Karina is very keen for sports and has played Netball all her life. She played for the Tango Netball Club and the Adelaide Cougars Netball Club in the Netball SA Premier League for years but due to work commitments had to come back to local. She was with South Gawler Netball Club for 10 years. She played and player coached Div 1 for a couple of years, coached Inter 1, was Treasurer for a couple of years and was even on the committee. She sadly retired a few years back due to her business growing and that is predominately Saturday’s.... plus 11 knee surgeries later it was probably the smart thing to do.

"Definitely a difficult decision, but netball will always have a special place with me..."

As with nearly everyone I've interviewed thus far, she hardly has any down time! But LOVES spending time with her 2 boys and watching super trashy TV
