Properties
- On 22 Aug 1876 Robert Crossing, of Bertha near Willaston, lime burner, purchased part Lot 22, Willaston from Caleb Miller of Willaston, labourer.[1] Between 1884 and 1892 he sold it off as three separate allotments[1] (this is a residential area, not the site of the limes kilns - the contemporary location of this site is 5 & 7 Redbanks Road and 5, 5a & 7 Drury Street - a heritage cottage remains at 5 Redbanks Road).
- In May 1895 Robert Crossing sold the land upon which his lime kilns were situated, "together with four lime kilns and all other improvements thereon" to Elizabeth Lenert, wife of Charles Lenert, lime burner (see transcript of Memorial for Conveyance of Land).
