parents John DAW and Lillian Althea Jeffs. 1935 November 7 – Married at Holy Cross Church, Goodwood, SA to Gertrude Mary Eileen Swann, born 23 Mar 1899, Gawler, SA, her parents Frederick Washington Swann and Mary McNamara.
1931 April 24- Advertisement – Jeffs Bros Millers & Grain Merchants, Fords, SA.
1933 March 10 – Jeffs Semolina Mill, Fords, SA was destroyed by fire.
1933 March 24 – Jeffs Bros, commenced business in Gawler having purchased the Union Mill (The Adelaide Milling Company).
1936 – Mr & Mrs E C Daw took up residence in Junee, NSW and was Secretary/Manager for Jeffs Bros NSW, flour mill.
1942 January 1– Enlisted for service, Army S53422.
1942 February 27 – Discharged. 12 Oct 1942 – Enlisted RAAF 119592, School of Administration, Melbourne. He listed his birth date as 3 Aug 1906.
1945 May 11 – Discharged, Sydney.
1948 May 31 – Send off to Mr & Mrs E C Daw from their friends and employees of the Junee community where they had spent the last 12 years. After a well-earned holiday, they will return to take the position of Secretary/Manager at the Gawler office of the Jeffs Bros Mill. He eventually was made a Director of the Company.
1949 April 26– Purchased allotment 4, part section 3074, Hundred Barossa. Transferred to Hutchinson Hospital, 16 Oct 1981.
1950 June 27 – Mortgage to Commonwealth Bank. Mortgage discharged 23 Sep 1976. Amateur Radio Aerial adjacent to house, Photograph of box that held the equipment for setting up the amateur radio, addressed to Mr E C Daw from the USA is in the Gawler National Trust Museum.
1949 – Building commenced on allotment 4, 36 East Terrace, Gawler East. Blue-prints are in the Gawler Heritage Collection. The builder was Mr Charles Ayling.
