Gerhard George Duldig was born at Springton on 2nd March 1913, son of the late Johann Alfred Erwin Duldig and Friedrike Wilhelmine Duldig [nee Georg].
He was always known as George.
He was married on 10th September 1951 to Viola Gwendolyn Presser, and his late Father-in-Law Pastor Louis August Presser officiated.
They had a son Ross and daughter Elizabeth.
All of his working life was spent in Gawler working first of all in manufacturing fibrous plaster ceilings with his father, and later in business by himself, and later in the petrol wholesale business.
He was an active member of Zion, first of all in the Luther League days of his youth; later as Church Warden and choir member, and later still on committees.
He enjoyed music and sang for many years in the Gawler Barossa Choral Society, serving a term as President, and in later years was made a Life Member.
George Duldig was very much involved with the Hutchinson Hospital, serving on its Committee for many years, then as Chairman during the re-building years and at the time of his death he remained a Trustee of the Hospital.
George was very much involved with Rotary, being a Charter Member and past President. On the morning of his death he enjoyed a Rotary breakfast.
George passed away on Tuesday 30th December 1986; aged 73.
