Fotheringham's Cordial Factory on Goose Island was established by David and Robert Fotheringham and was an entirely separate business to Fotheringham's Brewery on Julian Terrace which was established by Thomas Fotheringham.
As advised by Richard Henderson citing “Gawler’s Industrial Buildings 1839-1939” University of Adelaide Architecture Papers p51-54 & 63. .
