Empowering girls and young women has been our mission since Girl Guides was founded over 100 years ago and we continue to achieve this by helping girls reach their potential and be their best whatever their ability or background. Guides have fun, adventures, achieve goals, make new friends and develop community values, whilst learning many valuable life skills along the way.
Girl Guides South Australia is a unique girls' only space that:
- Promotes diversity and equality.
- Gives girls a voice.
- Is relevant to today's girls.
- Fosters self-confidence.
- Develops leadership, teamwork and life skills.
- Offers fun and friendship.
- Is part of a global movement.
Without the valuable help of our volunteers we could not support our girls and young women to grow and develop into confident self-respecting and responsible community members.
In 2010 Girl Guides celebrated their Australian Centenary.
