Sing Australia Gawler

Connecting Australians in Singing

Colin Slater OAM established Sing Australia Pty Ltd in 1985 to realise his vision to make singing accessible to all Australians and to promote Australian songs and artists. Colin visited Adelaide and started our Gawler group in May 2004.

Sing Australia is a network of fun-loving groups around Australia where everyone is encouraged to sing. These groups are very different to formal choirs as there are no auditions, no requirements to read music or attend every week. We love singing and our songs cater to a wide range of musical preferences. Through singing, opportunities are provided for personal fulfilment, stress relief, new friendships, interstate and overseas travel and lots of enjoyment.

For those who wish to take part, Sing Australia also provides a service to the community by singing at local events and celebrations, concerts, functions, etc. as well as opportunities to visit other singing groups in the network and join with them for events, National Gatherings and also tours in Australia and overseas. There is more information on the website

Our Gawler group sing every Monday evening (except over Christmas/New Year & Holiday Mondays) from 7.30 to 9.30 pm at Tod Street Uniting Church, Hall, Gawler.

The cost to attend each singing night is $7 and this goes towards venue hire, our professional accompanist and conductor, supper and the administration of the group.

We will be celebrating our 13th birthday this coming Monday 8th May, dress to the theme being based on the number 13, i.e. teenager; unlucky for some????; party theme etc. All visitors are welcome.
