More than 30 years ago I began collecting trivia in handwriting as homework to a quiz night I was about to attend. Just a few handwritten notes added to a handful of trivia, poems etc I had written since my school days in the 1950's. It soon became a collection which I thought too valuable to waste & began a daily ritual of delivering an almanac daily to start the next day at midnight on Adelaide Radio station Fiveaa. Eventually I progressed to typing. My typing was not quite up to standard; Attempts at typing my christian name "Peter" on one occasion I typed as "Perter" & another as "Ferter". Fiveaa presenter/producer Gerard Stone gave me the pseudonym "Perter Ferter" & I used this as often people tried to pass themselves off as me, but most would get spelling wrong, so I was protected. Much of my trivia was used to build the internet. To date I have written more than a million pages; an ongoing process. Today my trivia/almanacs go all over the world. I have never asked for or received one cent for my hobby. It has always given me great pleasure & introduced me to thousands of great friendships. Just a small snapshot about myself.
