Clonlea Park is located on the banks of the North Para River at Willaston, close to the town centre of Gawler. Just hidden away off Murray Road, is Gawler and Willaston's peaceful and natural escape from all surrounding suburbs,  Open grasslands and big river red gums are sprawled across the reserve.

The area was once the original home to some of Gawler's first settlers, the Reid family.

Close to the playground is part of a structure that has been left from these earlier times, which used to function as a horse stable. The structure backing onto a hill area adds some character to the now modern day park. Apart from the old structure at the area has no other resemblance to these past times, the reserve now serves multiple recreational facilities and activities to the public.

Visitors can enjoy a range of activities on site, two tennis courts are available to have a hit, the nets are always up for people to use. There is a large oval area for sport, various walking trails, bike trails and a good sized playground for children. As well as these recreational activities there are public toilets and a shaded area next to the tennis courts, BBQ facilities and various picnic areas, tables and chairs.
