Brian Thom (13 Gawler Terrace) remembers that at 11 Gawler Terrace there was a vacant block owned in the 1950s by Cecil and Lottie Sweeney whose home was at 9 Gawler Terrace. At the front of the block were 2 most magnificent Pepper Trees and they often shaded Cec Sweeney's Apiarist Van when parked in the street. Cec went all over the State with his bees and the honey would be extracted in a large shed at the back of his 9 Gawler Terrace home. Brian Thom recalls that Doug Rau and Max Barker worked with Cec.
