11 Railway Terrace, built c1887 (Register of State Heritage Items) was the home of James Robinson who established the Britannia Foundry in 1887 on the adjacent block, facing Barnet Road. The foundry was taken over by E Anders & Sons in 1934 and closed in the 1970s.
The residence features extensive cast iron, very likely produced at the Britannia Foundry, including fencing, veranda posts and lace and a two storey rotunda (which is on Town of Gawler's Local Heritage list).
