Coral Heather Kaesler, daughter of 'Bert' Berthold Kaesler and Estella Rubina Cora (nee Milde), was born on 15th November 1942 in Gawler, at Doctor Dawes Hospital, on the corner of High St and Lyndoch Rd (now where Fasta Pasta is situated). For approximately 12 years she lived on High St, at the back of her father's boot and shoe repair shop which was located on Murray St (opposite the Kingsford Hotel), and later moved with her family to Gozzard St. She attended Gawler Primary and later Gawler High School (then situated on Lyndoch Rd).

At the age of 14 and a half, Coral began working at the chemist opposite Jacobs St., owned by Mr Oswald Conley (Conley's Chemist). It was here that she met Brenton, who later introduced her to a second job an usherette at the Gawler Cinema (see Brenton Rusby). In 1962, Brenton and Coral began building their first home on Trevue Ave, and on 18 May 1963 they married and moved in together.

Conley's Chemist was later taken over by Harnett and George, where she continued to work until she had her first child, Michael, in 1965. In 1966, her second child, Christopher, was born, and in 1970, her last child, Tania, was born.

Coral did home duties until all of her three children were attending school, at which time she began working again, part-time, during school hours. Later, she also worked for Bob Officer's pharmacy until she retired, at which point she and Brenton moved to Deland Ave, and travelled.

In 2013 Coral was working part-time delivering medicine for Terry White chemist in Gawler.
