| Also known as: | Mill Inn |
| Address: | 4-6 Adelaide Road |
| Town or Locality: | Gawler South |
Originally this site was the location of the Mill Inn, which operated from 1858-1920. Photos of the Mill Inn, show a show a very different, older style building to the c1920s building that still exists at the site in 2025, suggesting that the site was rebuilt upon after the Inn closed in 1920.
The site has since been used for various other purposes. According to Lynette Ansell, her parent's Albert and Hilda Burton ran their deli there from about 1934 to 1986. Brian Thom recalled visiting the delicatessen in the mid 1960s "one needed to be very agile to traverse the steps and/or slope up from the Adelaide Road footpath below" (later photographs show that the steep front steps had been concreted over).
Later Hyde and Partners renovated the building and neighbouring house at 2 Adelaide Road to create their Medical Centre, which extended from the Mill Inn Bridge to the corner of Seventh Street. There are photos of the Hyde and Partners practice at that site in 1999 and they were still operating there until 2024.
In 2025 the c1920s building is still present and in addition to the adjacent building at 2 Adelaide Road is in the process of being extensively altered to become Confident Kids Childcare and Early Learning Centre.
